    Responsibilities

    Angelo Precision Aircraft, LLC Inspection Piper Cherokee

    • Assist licensed aircraft mechanics with maintenance and repair tasks
    • Help with aircraft servicing, cleaning, and basic shop duties
    • Maintain a clean and organized work area
    • Assist with removal and installation of aircraft components under supervision
    • Support technicians with tools, equipment, and parts during maintenance work
    • Learn proper aircraft maintenance procedures and safety practices

    Requirements

    • Strong mechanical aptitude
    • Experience working on cars, trucks, motorcycles, farm equipment, or other mechanical equipment preferred
    • Comfortable using hand tools and basic shop equipment
    • Willingness to learn and follow instructions carefully
    • Dependable work ethic and positive attitude
    • Ability to work as part of a team in a professional shop environment

    Previous aviation experience is not required, but a genuine interest in aviation and mechanical systems is highly valued.

  • Lead A&P Mechanic – Inspection Authorization (IA) – Supervisory Position

    Angelo Precision Aircraft is seeking an experienced A&P mechanic with Inspection Authorization (IA) to join our professional maintenance team.

    Located in San Angelo, Texas, our company is an established FAA Part 145 Repair Station with a long-standing reputation for quality workmanship and integrity. For decades we have supported a wide range of general aviation aircraft while maintaining high standards of safety, professionalism, and regulatory compliance.

    We are looking for a highly skilled technician who takes pride in quality work, understands the responsibility that comes with an IA, and enjoys working in a professional maintenance environment.

    This position offers the opportunity to work on a variety of aircraft including Cessna, Piper, Beechcraft, and turbine aircraft such as King Air and Caravan while helping support and guide other technicians within the shop.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform and approve annual and progressive inspections
    • Assist with complex troubleshooting and aircraft maintenance
    • Ensure maintenance work is performed in accordance with FAA regulations and approved data
    • Support technicians with inspection procedures and maintenance standards
    • Review maintenance documentation and logbook entries
    • Maintain the high quality standards our shop has built over many years

    Qualifications

    FAA Airframe & Powerplant certificate required
    • Current Inspection Authorization (IA) required
    • Strong experience with general aviation aircraft maintenance
    • Thorough knowledge of FAA regulations and maintenance documentation
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving ability

    Strong experience on small general aviation with replicating engines, with magneto experience.

    Experienced IA Technician required for this position – 

    The technician who applies for this position would require the experience to be able to be self-reliant.  They should be able to talk with a customer and the customer tell them what they are experiencing, be able to utilize that information and diagnose the engine or airframe, create a plan to fix the issue, communicate it to the customer, and fix the issue.  In the position that is being hired for, this might entail them telling a coworker what the issue is, what the corrective action is, and having that coworker fix the issue while they work on another issue and then supervise the work being done.

    Experience

    This position requires for the technician to be highly experienced and able to install and troubleshoot most instances given to them.  An example of the type of candidate for this position would be one that a customer can present to them an issue that they are having with their aircraft’s avionics system.  The technician should be able to take what the customer told them, diagnose the system and develop a plan for correcting the issue and presenting it to the customer, and then following the plan if approved by the customer, and fixing the problem.

    On the installation side of the coin, the technician should be able to be given a avionics system, plan for the installation of that item(s), present it to the manager, if approved, install that item(s), set it up, and test the operation (unless it requires a pilot).

    These positions require this level of expertise.
