Experience

This position requires for the technician to be highly experienced and able to install and troubleshoot most instances given to them.  An example of the type of candidate for this position would be one that a customer can present to them an issue that they are having with their aircraft’s avionics system.  The technician should be able to take what the customer told them, diagnose the system and develop a plan for correcting the issue and presenting it to the customer, and then following the plan if approved by the customer, and fixing the problem.

On the installation side of the coin, the technician should be able to be given a avionics system, plan for the installation of that item(s), present it to the manager, if approved, install that item(s), set it up, and test the operation (unless it requires a pilot).

These positions require this level of expertise.
